the deerhouse

I went to this beautiful play on tuesday.
it's called: "the deerhouse",
this mixture of theater, intense dance and fragile music moved me to tears. I seriously had to go and lay down on my bed afterwards. just to let the dreamworld they'd created live on inside my head.
main character in the play is, subconsciously, the deer. the scenery is marvelous (I like this word, sounds really intellectual!), with antlers everywhere.
last week I went to a dress-up party, wearing my antlers. it felt nice to be a deer.. why are deer so magical and inspiring? why do they move us? maybe because of Bambi..

my ivory tower

this is the reason why I haven't been posting lately: a new appartment and a fresh love (or was it the other way around?)
it's just so lovely to be here, I like to call it my 'ivory tower'. like in 'The Neverending Story'.. when I was little I always dreamed of being the ivory emperess with her soft voice and sad eyes.
and I'm learning to cook. with help of this book. I received it from a Swiss friend and adored the illustrations and recipies. Larissa Bertonasco gathered all her Italian grandmother's recipies
and mixed them with her own memories of her childhood in text and drawings.
I'm trying really hard to keep the book clean..
a little difficult when you are such a chaotic kitchenprincess as I am.

New tiny boxes from fiasask.
This time I have been cutting in the originals.
However this makes every box unique, it doesn't come easy to me; I always fall in love with the picture on the front and for sure with the sometimes touching words from the past on the back of the postcard.
I have integrated pieces of the images as well as parts of the written texts and the stamp in this little box.
I wanted to create a small, tiny hidingplace for something precious.

From beginning of November the tiny box will be exclusively available in gallery
Beyond Fashion in Antwerpen and from the end of the year also in my own fiasask webshop.

I really love this photo that I once cut out of a newspaper article.
Still fascinated, I can keep staring at it for ages.
The girls through the camera lens of Nick Hannes.
