'Today is the last day of summer' said the man on the radio this morning. We decided to celebrate it with raspberry cake and apple juice.

A treasure from the house of Lottas grandparents.
This hand-knitted blanket was originally won on a lotery
by the then just married great-grandparents.

.blub.

Today I'm chewing on a bubblegum, trying to blow it into the shape of a heart.
It's not easy, but I'll keep on trying.

And today is my Miranda July-day. Have you ever heard of her?
If not, get to know her via this cute video,
and via her site that makes me smile very much
(which is not easy with a mouth full of pink bubblegum).

O, and haven't you ever wondered why bubblegum is always pink?
I have never chewed on a green bubblegum, or a red, or even a purple.
Something to think over when you can't sleep at night..

Now and again Fiasask will post a birth gift box.
Small handmade keepsake-box with baby on the lid +
vintage handmade first baby smock.
I will always add something special,
this time I brought this little blanket with me from Sweden.
It was laying there so beautiful in a dolls trolley in the antique shop.
Just found it so cute.
Take a look in the Fiasask webshop.

Séraphine

Yolande Moreau is my favourite Belgian actress.
She plays the leading part in this beautiful film "Séraphine",
about the life of the French female painter Séraphine Louis.
(Séraphine de Senlis) (1864–1942)

Summer pleasures

A while ago, I let you catch a glimpse of our garden and our house in Sweden.
Meanwhile there has been a few sunny days as well here.
So here are some summer pictures of our place, inside and outside.

Coffeebun

Coffee with a delicious cinnamon bun; have had a lot of those this summer.
One of these coffee moments was in Stockholm together with Frida,
the inspiring person behind the kurbits blog
Coffee and bun was a natural part of it.

Embroidery

This tablecloth is made by visiting hands at Carl Larssongården.
I very much admire the work of Carl Larsson and especially that of his wife Karin.
Now when we are busy promoting the old artists in Dalarna, I also let you have a look in Zorngården in Mora.

Just natural

Absolutely one of my favourite places to be in Stockholm, Rosendals trädgård.
Spending some lazy hours under the appletrees.
The perfect day off.

A new fiasask creation !

Here they are now; the promised photo's of the lamps to hang in the window and brighten up the long dark winter.
The lamps are handmade in Swedish pinewood.
The print on the lamp screen is based on the different aprons belonging to the local clothing in Leksand.
The lamp exists in three variations and are already for sale in svenskhemslojd
and in leksandshemslojd and soon also in my own webshop.
The photo's above are taken in the shop window of Leksands Hemslöjd.
